Families Engagement Program is a program serving Florence, Darlington, Marion, Lee, and Sumter Counties. This program consists of many components that will enable families to thrive. A representative will be on site at the Pine Village Community Room to talk about how this program will benefit you and your family. Please share this good news with your family and friends! If interested, please plan to attend!

Reminders

The Housing Authority of Darlington will charge $1.00 per page for documents you request copies of that have previously been given to you for your records.
This includes:

  • Additional Rent Amount Letters
  • Letters
  • Leases
  • Notices
  • Copies of Pay Stubs (that you provided to your Housing Manager in the past)

We will not make copies of Social Security Cards and Birth Certificates from your file.

If you plan to move, please change your address at the post office and turn your keys in before you leave. If you do not turn your keys in, you will continue to be charged as if you are still living in the apartment.

Please print your name and address on your money order before dropping it in the Drop Box to ensure that it will be applied to your account promptly.

To expedite your concerns, please call or email the staff member that you need to see to make an appointment prior to coming to the office. Making an appointment allows staff to be prepared to service you quickly and efficiently.

Roll your Roll Cart to the back of your apartment after trash has been collected on trash pick up day. Do not leave the cart at the curb overnight.

Purchasing a new vehicle - if a resident purchases a new vehicle and are waiting for paperwork from DMV, please notify the office at 843.393.0436 (Elaine Bell extension 2004 ebell@darlingtonha.org or Karen Beedy extension 2003 kbeedy@darlingtonha.org) so the vehicle will not be towed by the towing company that canvas the parking area for decals.

Emergency Maintenance 843.496.8519

If you have an emergency, please call, and leave your name, address, phone number and details about your emergency. The charge for opening a door after hours is $50.00. For all other maintenance concerns please call the office 843.393.0436 ext. 2003 and leave a message and it will be taken care of during the normal work week.

A Crime Box - is located at the entrance to the office, please feel free to leave a note in it if you see or suspect any illegal activity being done in our neighborhood. Your identity will not be revealed but your concern(s) will be reported and investigated.

10 PM CURFEW IS STILL IN EFFECT!!

Due to several complaints about loiters, noise, and children being left unattended, a curfew was initiated on July 1, 2012. If you or your invited guest are caught loitering in the parking lot or on the property, you will be arrested and/or evicted. If you have questions, please feel free to call the office 843.393.0436.
