Services Provided:
Emergency Safe Shelter
- Undisclosed Location for abused women and their children
- Accommodations for up to 25 women and children on a temporary basis
- Comprehensive services
New Beginnings Transitional Shelter
- Long-term (up to 18 months) shelter for homeless, formerly abused women and their children
- Accommodations for up to 12 women and children
- Case management, counseling, information, and referral services to help women secure skills and resources needed to be self-sufficient
Durant Children's Center
- In the event of child abuse, there is Durant Children's Center various on-site services provided by the Department of Social Services, Law Enforcement,
Solicitor's Office, Medical and Mental Health Professionals, and Victim Advocates.
The center provides the following services:24-hour crisis intervention
- Medical examinations, diagnosis, and treatment
- Forensic interview
- Individual and group counseling
- Legal assistance
- Community education and training
Alternative to Violence Program:
The Alternatives to Violence Program (ATV) is dedicated to stopping domestic violence by changing the behavior that causes it. The program teaches alternatives to anger, rape, fear, isolation, and desperation that are part of an abusive relationship. The goal is to enable abusers to identify alternative ways of dealing with emotions without the use of violence. Participants may voluntarily take part in the program; however, most are referred by the judicial system.

Community Victim Assistance Program
- The Community Victim Assistance Program consists of community-based victim services for victims of domestic and sexual assault. In addition to the primary crisis center and the 24-hour crisis line, the Coalition provides services at satellite centers in Lake City, Kingstree, Marion, Darlington, Hartsville, Dillon, Bennettsville, and Chesterfield. The Community Victim Assistance Program is also responsible for the recruitment and training of volunteers, providing community education, and training to promote awareness on the issues.
